President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued Law No. 214 of 2020 the Clinical Medical Research Law, known in the media for clinical trials, which was approved by the House of Representatives.
According to this new law and in the second article of its issuance articles, it was decided that the Egyptian Drug Authority established in accordance with the provisions of this law shall replace both the National Authority for Drug Control and Research established by Presidential Decree No. 382 of 1976, and the National Authority for Research and Control of Biopharmaceuticals established by a Presidential Decision The Republic No. 389 of 1995, and other administrative bodies and entities with competence in the field of control over medical preparations and supplies, in all the specializations stipulated in the laws or decisions of their establishment.
